A Mentor-Mentee Success Story

At POGIL College of Health Technology, we are committed to creating a thriving and supportive learning environment for our students. Through our mentorship program, our students are paired with healthcare mentors, to guide them through their learning and career journey. An example of this is Tolu’s remarkable journey. Tolu Benson is a nursing student who found an invaluable mentor in one of our professors, Professor Edet. Under his guidance, Tolu excelled in her studies, developing a deep passion for pediatrics.

This passion led to a groundbreaking research project on infant healthcare, which earned her recognition at a national healthcare conference. Tolu credits Professor Edet’s commitment to supporting and mentoring her on the path of success, As we celebrate Tolu's excellent achievements, we also recognize the countless other mentor-mentee pairings across our campus that are making a significant impact.
